Sustainability has always been at the heart of Melody Rose, from the early up-cycled pieces to the high quality, small-scale production at a family owned pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, England today.
Melody Rose tableware is designed to last and be passed through the generations. Made in the UK with a base of Cornish clay, the fine bone china pieces are finished with hand-painted dishwasher-friendly 22carat burnished gold, which maintains its alluring gleam.
Making the products in England rather than overseas considerably reduces transportation, fuel consumption and pollution – and Melody Rose is currently working towards B-Corp registration.
As well as reducing its own waste and using recyclable materials in its manufacture and packaging (including compostable bubble wrap and paper tape), Melody Rose is working with its supply and delivery chains to reduce transportation further and accelerate the use of decarbonised energy.
