A fine bone china plate designed in an exclusive collaboration with The Wallace Collection, the Francois Boucher range.
Inspired by Francois Boucher’s ‘Pastoral with a Bagpipe Player’ painted in 1749, the dessert sized plate is a contemporary interpretation of the painting.
In celebration of the work of 18th Century rococo painter François Boucher (1703 – 1770) Melody Rose designer, Melanie Roseveare has based the collection on a selection of the paintings on show in the prestigious gallery.
Painted between 1742 and 1753, the range includes designs based on The Rising of the Sun, originally commissioned by Mme de Pompadour, To Capture a Cupid, Daphnis and Chloe who also feature in Vivienne Westwood’s celebrated corset top as well as surprise stars from The Pastoral with Bagpipe.
Fine bone china, gilded by hand with platinum details.
Perfect for use everyday though washing by hand will help prevent hand gilded platinum trim fading over time.
