Description

A fine bone china plate designed in an exclusive collaboration with The Wallace Collection, the new Francois Boucher range.

Inspired by Francois Boucher’s ‘The Rising of The Sun’ painted in 1752, the dessert sized plate is a contemporary interpretation of the painting, finished with hand painted platinum details.

In celebration of the work of 18th Century rococo painter François Boucher (1703 – 1770) Melody Rose designer, Melanie Roseveare has based the collection on a selection of the paintings on show in the prestigious gallery.

Painted between 1742 and 1753, the range includes designs based on The Rising of the Sun, originally commissioned by Mme de Pompadour, To Capture a Cupid, Daphnis and Chloe who also feature in Vivienne Westwood’s celebrated corset top as well as surprise stars from The Pastoral with Bagpipe.

Fine bone china, edge with hand painted silver trim.
